Sleepwalkers

lyrics

Fall out of my clothes. I can't help but lose.
Myself into tomorrow. I'd rather sleep than wallow.

Trip over my shoes. Counting sheep won't do.
I'd better start to doze off. Before my sleep is a loss.

It's a quarter to three of four.
There's sleepwalkers sleep knocking at my door.

Who's that under there? I'm starting to get scared.
I think I'd better calm down. Pretending now to hear sounds.

There's dripping from the sink. Drip Drip Drip.
The tree outside that creaks.
Leaves me feeling sorry that you're not here beside me.

It's a quarter to three of four.
There's sleepwalkers sleep knocking at my door.

The come around in the night time.
They hunt me down in the moon light.
Make the darkness frightening.
Now this whole place is haunted and I can't sleep anymore.

So back into my shoes. Another night is gone for good.
Maybe this evening my ghosts will soon be leaving?

It's a quarter to three of four.
There's sleepwalkers sleep knocking at my door.
Sleepwalkers. Sleepwalkers.
And I can't sleep anymore.
I can't sleep. Can't sleep. Anymore.

about

Dan Haas Annapolis, Maryland

I have been writing songs since the 90's and have released some albums, EP's, and singles over the years.

My primary instrument is guitar, so many songs have an acoustic quality. I'm a fan of lush harmonies, big strings, & dreamy synths. I hope you find something appealing. Thank you for visiting and listening.
