about
On Friday morning, November 10th, I picked up my classical guitar before work... like I normally do. Before I knew it, out came this simple little riff over some simple little chords.
Typically, I would finish my coffee, take an iPhone video (to capture the idea), and go about my day. Just then I remembered that I had mics set up and Logic on my computer in the next room.
It was about time I tested my skills and abilities. So I set the gain levels and pressed record.
And then went on with my day.
Later that evening, I returned to the mics to add some other bits. Over the weekend, I tinkered. On Tuesday night, I tinkered some more. By Wednesday night (now), I felt like that enough tinkering had been done.
So I'm calling it 'good enough' and moving on to something else.
While I am confident that I will improve in time, for now I'm really just learning. I enjoyed the process so much, I think I'll keep making these little ditties.
So here is this sketch of a song out... just because. I hope you like it.
Lastly, stay tuned for TWO NEW fully-produced, full band, totally mixed, and masterfully mastered songs that will be releasing this month and next.
lyrics
Wading through neck deep water
Shiver against the cold
Keep my chin up like I oughta
Doing whatever I'm told
This never gets old
I hope this never gets old.
Worn shredded map in the glove box
Roads that no longer connect
Wondering how long we will stay lost
Wondering how much we'll regret
Don't let me forget
I hope I never forget
Sparkling shapes
Reflection waves
Escaping to thoughts of memories
Of all of these habits I can't kick
You're the one that somehow sticks with me
Sparkling shapes
Reflection waves
Escaping to thoughts of memories
Of all of these habits I can't kick
You're the one that always sticks with me

I have been writing songs since the 90's and have released some albums, EP's, and singles over the
years.
My primary instrument is guitar, so many songs have an acoustic quality. I'm a fan of lush harmonies, big strings, & dreamy synths. I hope you find something appealing. Thank you for visiting and listening....more
